Birth of the Korason Method for Authentic Voice & Dialogue

About 3 pm today, after the Zoom seminar with the Russian body-centered therapy folk, I went to the property, outside the village of Colpoy’s Bay on Ontario’s beautiful Bruce Peninsula, that had been my grandparents old farm and found the rock with two deep crevices – once in a cow pasture, now amidst dense woods – where 70 years ago the Korason Method (KM) for Authentic Voice & Dialogue had its inception.
Lying upon this stone naked, shut-eyed and in a light trance, I’d experiment in a totally free & improvised way with the varied sounds a 7-year-old’s voice might conjure up. Upon opening the eyes, I’d see the cattle, attracted by the vibrations, approached and standing in a semi-circle 3-4 meters distant, seeming to look either entranced or concerned. Maybe they sensed the angst of my young soul.

To help your mind and soul.
Broad stone with two deep crevices where KM had its beginning
The diverse, non-verbal vocalizations (from soothing top stimulating, silly, ecstatic, humorous, fierce or fearful) – planted within my soul, a curiosity re the human voice & its effects – physical, emotional & mental – that evolved into a deep relationship with vibration, frequency, sound, voice, music & eventually the fine art/science of authentic dialogue.

Directly or indirectly, this tree of study & its fruit – the Korason Method – have remained near the centre of my work and as they continue flowering & unfolding, inform my life & its healing journey.
ps It was so rewarding to come upon that broad creviced rock in the middle of what has become a thick bush. Well worth the mosquitoes & thorn scratches as it’s the spot I’ve often included in the telling of the KM “creation story” and is part of my dreams and inner landscape.
